Welcome to our church. You will find our services are informal and varied during which we seek to hear what God is doing amongst us. We believe in the Bible and the work of the Holy Spirit. There is a strong emphasis on teaching what the Bible says and its relevance to us in every day living. We have links in the wider Christian community, both in the UK and abroad.

I am married to Rosalind and we have four grown up children. My father was a priest in the Episcopal church and I was ordained in 1971 in Edinburgh. My first degree was in Science and Astronomy, my second in Theology and I have a doctorate in Post-modern Discipleship.
We lived for three years in Papua New Guinea where I was a mission priest before returning to Scotland in 1976. For the next seven years I worked in Glasgow. We moved to St. Ninians in 1983 and in 1985 I became the Rector. In my teaching I use parables and stories, from the Bible and many other sources including everyday life and try to illustrate them in such a way as to touch people's hearts and to prepare them for the message. This style has been described as an "Itinerant Gladness Scatterer"! I hope to live up to this as a "Good News Sharer", that is telling people about the Good News of Jesus in a way that will inspire them to understand and learn more about the Christian faith.
